Association tunnel

Association Tunnel is a complete solution that allows the management of items and batches identified with RFID after their processing or at the end of production. Usually, tunnels are integrated at the end of the production line; here, item tags are detected, recorded and associated to processing data and to the batch id code, while a processing file is created. It is also possible to install a stand-alone Tunnel, so that it can be independent from a specific machinery or production line.

Association Tunnels yield the benefit of discarding the non-conforming items, so that the final batch lives up to the wanted standards. This way, it is not necessary to dispose of a not completely conforming batch, but rather it can be recovered later, verifying the single items. A label with a printed code is applied to the valid batches, and this very code is further associated to all of the RFID's of the items. This way, the batch content can be retrieve without RFID scanning of the whole batch.

RFID tag application can also be automated in the production line, integrating RFID labeling systems: labeling systems with tunnel allow to acheive completeness of the tracking solution, when complex operations and processing after the labeling are involved.

Association Tunnels are widely used in waste management sector; they are installed in the production lines of the rolls and sheet waste bags. The system is installed at the end of production and the rolls are conveyed from the conveyor belt to the reading box, to the printing and application of the labels and finally sorted either in the batch or in the rejects.
